Hardship Duty Pay – Location (HDP-L) All service members who are permanently assigned to or serving temporarily as additional duty/temporary duty (TAD/TDY), deployed, or attached status for more than 30 consecutive days in a designated area will be eligible for HDP-L. Eligibility for HDP-L begins on the day of arrival at the new station for service members on permanent reassignment.
